Professor Vassiliy Lubchenko will become irithm's fourth LLC member. Following meetings in San Diego in late July, irithm's president, Dr Rolf Miles Olsen, recommended Prof. Lubchenko to irithm's other members for company membership upon payment of a token investment. All of irithm's members have now informally agreed to Prof. Lubchenko's membership, indeed everyone welcomes Prof. Lubchenko with enthusiasm. He is a rising star in theoretical chemistry, focusing on glasses and protein folding; he received tenure at the University of Houston just weeks ago, as well as a very prestigious Alfred P. Sloan Research Fellowship this year, an NSF Career Award in 2010 and a Beckman Young Investigator Award in 2008. Professor Lubchenko will formally become a minority member after a new operating agreement is written and signed by all members. Dr Olsen is very pleased to welcome Vas!

irithm filed a new patent for a heat storage technology that can store large amounts of thermal energy at temperatures above 700oC, and even above 1000oC, and which can charge and discharge heat at rapid rates. This heat storage technology is suitable for industrial furnaces and utility scale electricity production.
